Cinematic Jazz That Captivates the Senses
Hour of the Owl (former known as Owls) is an Austria-based jazz piano trio blending jazz, classical, electronic and pop elements with a strong focus on sound aesthetics. Their latest album Light Works (Col Legno, 2024) reimagines Renaissance vocal music in collaboration with Company of Music. Internationally acclaimed (Jazzmagazine France, Jazzwise, ORF Ö1), they have performed at numerous international festivals and concert halls (including International Jazz Piano Festival Kalisz (PL), Konzerthaus Vienna (AUT), Porgy & Bess (AUT) and beyond). Hour of the Owl’s sound combines lyrical phrasing, prepared piano, and subtle electronics – creating immersive, poetic musical landscapes.
